Loved our stay here. We stayed here, as we drove 4 hours to see the Brandon Lake concert. Rose- at check-in was pleasant, knowledgeable, personable and professional. Roger- from maintenance was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Tyrell- from the breakfast area was so well mannered, thoughtful and courteous. Whoever hires and trains this staff- well done! The beds are comfy and the continental breakfast was plentiful & exceptional!

Glidden House is one of my favorite Cleveland wedding venues! While it's location in University Circle is incredibly convenient, the abilitiy to have everything onsite removes so much friction from the day. It allows couples and their guests to truly settle in, rather than moving from one location to the next. The exterior and grounds photograph beautifully, especially in the fall. One wedding I documented there took place as the leaves were turning, and the colors on the lawn were spectacular. In general, Glidden House strikes a balance I really appreciate. It’s practical without feeling impersonal, and elegant without being overproduced. It’s a wonderful fit for couples who value art, history, and connection. I hope to be back soon!

Our 2 night stay here was awesome. Room was very clean and quiet. Staff here is very friendly and overall very welcoming. The morning breakfast was a big hit and saved us from hunting around for a place to go. We were very happy we chose to stay here and will definitely stay again if we're in the area. Thank you.

I've long been a big fan and frequent patron of Glidden House, a lovely and historic boutique hotel on the campus of Case Western Reserve U in Cleveland. However, I just had a fantastic customer service experience with Louise, front desk/guest relations extraordinaire, that raised my opinion of Glidden House even higher. My husband and I go to Cleveland often, and I've made the last few reservations at Glidden House through Super.com (Expedia) as its rates were a bit lower. I did this for a stay initially scheduled for last night, and paid a little extra to make the reservation "refundable." An unexpected family issue caused us to need to reschedule the reservation. I soon learned that could only be accomplished by canceling the initial reservation through Super.com, which required me to fill out an online form and attach documentation to justify the cancelation. Long story made short: Super.com disapproved my request, and after several online "conversations" with AI chat bots and finally a human agent, it was suggested that I contact the hotel directly to request its approval for my cancelation in writing. I called Glidden House's reservation line, answered by a helpful human who listened to me describe my situation and directed me to in-house booking. Louise answered the phone immediately, and very competently and kindly handled situation. She wrote and sent me a cancelation email less than 10 minutes later and I forwarded it to Super.com. After 2 additional messages to Super.com, to ensure my reservation was immediately canceled (since it scheduled to start yesterday) they confirmed the cancelation 4 hours later. Louise also let me know that Glidden House (any many other hotels) will gladly match listed 3rd party rates from online purveyors. I wasn't aware of that, but I'm definitely going to deal directly with hotels in the future. Service industries -- including the travel industry -- prosper from our positive experiences. While AI and other technologies may handle routine business functions adequately, they cannot replace the vital experience and troubleshooting skills provided by human customer service professionals.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast spread was very well rounded with options for every taste in a beautiful setting. Comfortable bed and clean room. My only complaint would be you can hear everything going on in the hall and house keeping starts very early so you can hear every knock on the doors surrounding your room. Also trash service comes extremely early on Friday morning and our room was close enough to the dumpster 3 floors down to be woken up in terror. Despite those few gripes this hotel deserves a solid 5 stars and we will be back for sure.

We had a wonderful stay! Went to little Italy and had dinner at Mia Bella..The food was delicious. If you enjoy history definitely stay at the Glidden house! It was very cool to hear about the Glidden family. Free breakfast in the morning which was good. Location was great as well. We would like to visit again in the future!!

This hotel is charming. The view from the breakfast area is lovely and there is a cozy fireplace. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did not hear any of the other guests. My one complaint was that the room as not dark enough because the lovely blinds let in a bit of light through the cracks. Black-out curtains that actually closed and were not just decorative would take care of that issue. Breakfast was pretty good though I would have preferred a pitcher of half-n-half to the plastic creamer pods.

Historic beautiful mansion turned into a hotel. The main floor public area rooms, gathering areas, hallways, etc look like the pictures from when it was a residence. Great staff. Our guestroom was large, updated, comfortable and quiet considering this is on the corner of two busy roads. Large HDTV with full cable service helped pass the idle time we had. Breakfast was okay. The eggs and sausage were no different than hotel chains but the sides/extras such as potatoes, scones, macaroons, etc were great. There are two breakfast seating areas, next to each other. They each have different beverages so check them both. Parking $15 per day. We will return.
